Abstract: Resource provisioning is one of the most challenging problem in cloud computing because of the rapid growth in demand of resources and these resources are allocated according to dynamic nature of application. Unconstraint use of these resources can lead to two major problems i.e. under provisioning and over provisioning. So how to implement resource provisioning is a major concern in cloud computing. In this paper, techniques employed in different research papers are systematically analysed to realize their objectives, performance on various QoS attributes and issues related to current cloud computing environment. This research work also highlights previous research work, current status and future direction in resource†¦show more content†¦1: Classification of Resource provisioning Static Provisioning: It is applicable for applications, which have predictable and unchanged resources demand because in this approach resource allocation process is done at only once at the beginning of user’s application. It is not able to handle un-expected changes in resource demand and leads to insufficient utilization of resources. User-self Provisioning: Self-provisioning is the heart of cloud computing and also called self-service. It allows customer to provision their required resources themselves, and use the service without the intervention of service providers themselves or minimal intervention from cloud operator. Dynamic Resource Provisioning: Dynamic provisioning allows allocation and de-allocation of resources to user requirements. It is more applicable in cloud computing when application resource’s demand more likely to change during application execution time. Due to its dynamic nature, it enables scalability and elasticity of system but incurs resource allocation decision overhead on the system. QoS requirements of users are difficult to satisfy due to high variability of users’ needs. To handle this variability, there is need to consider dynamic behaviours in solutions because dynamic behaviour can estimate predict future resources demands which provide better results and improve system performance. Does Violence in Video Games Contribute to Misconduct in Youth? In recent years, many technological advancements have led to a new form of entertainment for society. One of the soaring forms of this entertainment is video games. While the sale of games continue to rise at a drastic rate, game designers and the media focus the publics attention on violent video games, since it seems to currently be to the more attractive type of game, not only among the public, but the gaming industries as well. As these games become increasingly popular, there has been an abundance of researchers and health officials that say that such games result in increased violence among juveniles. Many believe that violent video games cause behavioral problems and†¦show more content†¦These games can help improve coordination and concentration, as well as contribute a harmless form of stress relief (Parks 25). As long as game time is monitored, children can be greatly enhanced by such games. This form of stimulation is not just found in violent video games, but in every form of the games. Some categories are merely just for themes like action and adventure, strategy, or education, which allows the consumer to easily see which games will stimulate the mind or be more competitive and action-packed. An easy way to monitor video games would be to look for and understand the ratings of said games. The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) measures the content of all video games and rates them for the intended audience that should play the games. Knowing game ratings can greatly improve a parents understanding of the types of games their children play and how strictly to monitor their use. Game ratings include Early Childhood (EC), Everyone (E), Teen (T), Mature (M), Adults Only (AO), and Rating Pending (RP) (Norcia). Each of these levels increase in what is allowed, i.e. more violence, all except Rating Pending which means that a game has not been rated yet, but is coming soon. Most games that are held in the â€Å"violence† category are rating between Teen to Adults Only. Teen ratings consists of mild to strong language and are intended for people 13 or older. For example, in the movie Half Ton Man a man named Patrick weighed about 1,072 pounds which equals the same amount of 5 baby elephants. He couldn’t turn over on his own and due to the amount of weight he carried, he was killing himself. He was rushed to the hospital which was six hours away. We also encountered three other people who were in the same situation as Patrick in the film I Eat 33,000 Calories a Day. They are overweight and eat ten times the recommended amount for a normal human being. Food has become an addiction to these people, as they depend on food to pleasure them. This is known as dopamine, it reacts as our brain is telling them to continue that pleasure, in this case to keep eating. Two of the people we saw in the movie had to be hospitalized. One man was eating almost 14 thousand calories per day. That is what an average person should be eating in two weeks. But this addiction is leading their lives to death. As professor Dulai mentioned in lecture, an individual should maintain a healthy diet. This means having small portions, making half of our plates fruits and vegetables and having different â€Å"colors† in our meal. When watching these films, the main foods these individuals would intake is fried foods, candy, cookies, soda, and overall greasy foods. They weren’t showing healthy snacks such as carrots, apples or even grapes. These individuals were eating 10 times the recommended amount of food an individual should eat. This addiction is known as dopamine, which is released by hormones when eating a particular type of food and it makes the individual want more. This particular problem has affected these individuals which has lead them to become obese. Some of these individuals don’t have control of what they eat and are in denial. Others have found ways of losing weight by getting a surgery but they gained all the weight back by not measuring the amount of food they intake. Professor Dulai has also mentioned that the amounts of calories we take in are to help us have energy throughout the day. None of these individuals did anything to release the energy so the amount of calories stayed in their body which leads to fat cells multiplying when gaining weight. I come to a conclusion that an individual must stay healthy by eating a particular amount of calories and having a variety of colors in their foods.
